1. Pete actually knows a lot about plants, trees, flowers, essentially anything for your garden. He's very knowledgeable and you can trust his opinion. He knows what will grow best in certain locations, what will look best, and how to save money buying and maintaining your garden.
2. Pete and his team take pride in their work, they really are perfectionists when it comes to detail and doing the job right. I remember Pete taking out a tape measure to ensure the planters he helped me buy were located within perfect dimensions so they would look the best aesthetically - he really cares about every detail.
3. Talking to Pete on a few occasions, I could easily see he loves what he does, being hands on with gardening and landscaping. He took the time to meet with me on his off time during the weekend simply because he enjoys his work, so it's no surprise he's also very good at it!
4. In terms of landscaping, he actually provided me better landscaping ideas than full service landscaping companies that I contacted. His designs are visionary, and I fully trust him with my garden.
5. He'll actively look to save you money where it makes sense. While working on my property, he saved me $2,000 in buying planters by actively seeking out various alternatives, all on his own time. I didn't expect that level of commitment, so I have to say I am impressed.

After hiring (and releasing) two landscaping companies... read more who did not know how to trim or maintain this type of yard and watching things constantly die from overwatering, we found Pete's company on Yelp. Since we hired them, we haven't had any issues with the front yard and all the plants look wonderful. He's super friendly, always available by phone or text if you have a question or concern, timely in showing up according to schedule, and attentive to any requests you may have. He knows the plants really well (knows when to trim and how much to water) and will give you a worry-free service. He can help you pick out the correct type of plants depending on the amount of light they will receive and also is an expert on drip systems and programming your watering schedule for sprinklers. It's hard to find good landscapers that understand xeriscape plants, but these guys know their stuff and do their research!  In addition, they are just plain nice guys and will go the extra mile to help. For example, he helped bring back some plants from near death after we had the house fumigated and resuscitated our back lawn after it had nearly died from over cutting. They even stopped by the house when our alarm went off while we were traveling to make sure it was just a false alarm (the dogs knocked open a door). As other people on Yelp say, they are not the cheapest, but we've learned the hard way that you certainly get what you pay for in this industry. In the long run, you will save money as you won't pay to replace all the dead plants that were destroyed by inexperienced gardeners!  Thanks Pete!
